Earlier this month, the band announced a huge headlining gig at Cardiff Castle at the end of July 2025. The Cardiff slot comes as the Irish band have already announced two more huge shows for next year. The first of these will take place at Finsbury Park in London on Saturday July 5. It will be their biggest performance to date, with support from Amyl And The Sniffers and Kneecap.

Shortly after, they will travel to Wythenshawe Park in Manchester on August 15, where they will once again be joined by English Teacher and Kneecap. The outdoor venue has a total capacity of 26,000 spectators and tickets went on sale earlier this month.

Earlier this summer, “Romance” arrived and marked their fourth album and their first with new label XL Recordings. In a glowing five-star review of the James Ford-produced record, ZikNation shared, “‘Romance’ offers moments of wonder and gravity while also being disturbing at times. »

For the production of the album, the group declared ZikNation they wanted to move away from the more rock sound of their first album, “Dogrel”.

“Being creatively understood by too many people is like flies settling on your clothes and on your face. Every now and then you have to let go of it, just to see who you are again. “That’s what we wanted to do,” he said.

The band were recently hailed by Elton John as “the best band around”, and earlier this week announced new tour dates in Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
