Fonsorbs. A business project around chocolate

So what is this site, along the Tarbes road and the Cantegraille path (towards Saint-Lys) which started in front of the Les Portes du Gers commercial area? Indeed, of the 4,108 m² sold by the municipality of Fonsorbes to the benefit of the company De la Fève au Palais, a local chocolate factory, will set up “Le Chocolat dans tous ses Etats”. The project includes a site for the production and transformation of raw products into finished products, a point of sale and an entertainment area around chocolate.

The company De la Fève au Palais “has been established in the town of Fonsorbes for six years. Its main activity is the transformation of the cocoa bean, from the harvest to the finished product, ie chocolate. This activity is carried out only by ten professionals in France.

Another interesting characteristic of this company, its raw material supply (cocoa) is done in short circuit because it has acquired its own cocoa plantations in Costa Rica. And in addition to her local shop, rue Jean Monet in Fonsorbes, she opened two other points of sale in Colomiers (Perget shopping center) and Tournefeuille (boulevard Vincent-Auriol) as well as a box at the Victor Hugo market in Toulouse.

A museum and a conference room

The municipality of Fonsorbes was very keen to keep this company on its territory, the reputation of which is widely spread in the region on a professional level. Indeed, the interest for the city is great, as well on a cultural and educational level as on a social level. Because on the one hand, the project provides for the creation of a museum and a conference room that will accommodate groups of visitors: schoolchildren, seniors, individuals, businesses, etc.

Parking is provided on a 1,000 m² site which is the subject of another project opposite. On the other hand, the project is the bearer of job creation which should be filled, as a priority, by the inhabitants of the municipality.
