Losses obtained by Digital chat station has revealed that Vivo will be launching a foldable phone soon seashell, I live X Flip, in China. This will be the design company’s first foldable phone clamshell.
Soon after revealing the device’s presence, the leak also provides a design outline that shares the device’s original design outline.
The schematics and renders reveal that the back of the Vivo X Flip will have a round camera module, which will apparently house a triple camera setup. To the right, there’s a triple LED flash and the ZEISS logo.
Below the camera module is a rectangular cover display and the remaining half has the Vivo logo. The right edge of the device will have a volume rockers and power button.
Apart from the chipset, nothing else is known about the full specifications of the Vivo X Flip. The flip phone is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.
Hopefully future reports will reveal more details about Vivo’s new foldable phone. Most likely, the device will be officially launched in early 2023 in China. It is currently unclear whether it will be released in the global market or not.
Vivo is also likely to unveil the Vivo S16e, S16 and S16 Pro smartphones in China this month. Exynos 1080, Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 8200 chipsets, respectively, will power all three phones. [dera/timBX] various sources.
