On March 15, the Széchenyi Mountain Children’s Railway will hold the traditional “Following the Children’s Railway” 20-kilometer daytime performance tour. Due to the increase in excursion traffic in the spring, starting from the holiday, trains will depart from the terminus more frequently on weekends, every 40-50 minutes.
On Wednesday, the traditional 20-kilometer daytime performance tour “Following the Children’s Railway” will be held. The route touches all the stations of the Children’s Railway, as well as the main attractions of the area – the Normafa slope, the Erzsébet lookout on János-hegy, the Kaán Káron lookout on Nagy-Hárs-hegy and the Nagyrét in Kühülvölgy. The program, popular not only among hikers, was organized for the first time on March 15, 1996. Every year, a performance tour is held on March 15 during the day and on August 19 at night, so this will be the fifty-fifth performance tour in the history of the light railway.
According to the schedule valid from March 15, more flights will depart in the spring due to the significant excursion traffic typical of weekends.
