Nissan stops selling the GT-R in Japan. PHOTO/ IST
TOKYO – After sale Nissan GT-R stalled in Europe and Australia, now Nissan has stopped selling the GT-R in the Japanese market.
This means that GT-R fans in Japan are no longer allowed to order the latest GT-R models.’

According to a review on Nissan Japan’s official website, sales of the Nissan GT-R were discontinued because “the number of orders has reached the planned sales target.”
Unlike in Japan, Nissan stopped selling the GT-R in Europe due to noise regulations, while sales of the GT-R in Australia were stopped because it no longer complied with increasingly stringent new vehicle infringement regulations.
In Japan, Nissan is offering the GT-R in the Premium Edition T-Spec version, as well as the GT-R Track Edition in the Engineered by Circuit version. NISMO T-Spec with accessories such as bronze rims, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber rear spoiler, and a choice of colors typical of Midnight Purple and Millennium Jade.
