Elaf: Within the framework of the League of Arab States’ declaration of Beirut as the capital of Arab media, and in the belief in the cultural role of Lebanon and in an effort to restore the pioneering role that was distinguished by it, Nouri Media defied the difficult circumstances by holding the 2023 AFDAL International Festival.
The “Afdal” International Festival, in its sixth session, which was held in the capital, Beirut, honored a large number of Syrian and Lebanese artists and stars of the Arab world in the field of singing, acting and media, for their works, whether during the current year or for their overall career and successes over the years.
All the honorees have distinguished fingerprints in their fields of specialization. It also hosted, within its activities, influential personalities in all artistic, medical, literary, directing, prominent figures on social networking sites, and beauties who won aesthetic titles.
Elaph Camera was present at this distinguished festival, and we had exclusive interviews and chats with the most prominent and important honorees.
What distinguished the festival this year was the honoring of the late great director Hisham Sharbatji, in the presence of his sons Rasha and Yazan Sharbatji, in addition to the installation of the Arab Youth Ambassador, which was obtained by the Bahraini Rokaya Ali Mirza.
The festival was attended by diplomatic, social, cultural and media figures from all sectors, businessmen and economists, in addition to the President of the Syndicate of Theater, Radio and Cinema Actors in Lebanon, Abdel Rahman Al-Shami, the President of the Syndicate of Professional Artists, the artist George Shalhoub, and the Director General of the Festival, Mr. Karim Al-Khatib.
The festival honored a crowd of personalities and was at the forefront: the AFDAL Award “Sheikh Kar” in the Syrian drama, and a special tribute to the Syrian director Hisham Sharbatji, the journalist Rabaa Al-Zayyat, the Egyptian actress Rogina, the Syrian actor Abbas Al-Nouri, the actress Rita Harb, the artist Carlos Azar, the director Enas Al-Degheidy, Syrian actress Wafaa Mosly, actress Razan Jamal, director Rasha Sharbatji, media personality Elian Hajj, artist Mohamed Majzoub, writer Shaker Khazal, content creator Omar Qandil, media personality Raghda Shalhoub, media personality Bossi Shalaby, artist Walid Awad, media personality Dalia Karim, Iraqi actor Bakr Khaled The young Syrian actor Iyad Adass, the businessman Ambassador Muhammad Atallah, the star Ali Jassim, the researcher and thinker Yasir Haider, the lawyer Raed Hamdan, the plastic surgeon Dr. Osama Ayad, the orthodontist and plastic dentist Dr. Ali Marei, businessman Musab Al-Hadary, star Layal Abboud, media personality Hala Al-Murr, businessman Raed Kassar, “Vidal Verta” company, star Alaa Zalzali, maestro Nasser Al-Asaad, “Hanan Artist” company, athlete Hamza Brizi, tarot and horoscope reader and names scholar “Umm Abdullah Al-Shammari”, social media expert Manal Shehadeh, the star Sarah Zakaria, Najla Saleh, winner of the Miss Universe of the world title, Georgina Darwish, winner of the title of Miss Arab Universe, and Hussein Najdi, winner of the title of Mr Arab Universe. The flight captain and the media, Rola Bahsoun, surprised the audience as she presented the ceremony.
It should be noted that the AFDAL International Festival is preparing for an Arab launch soon, which will be a distinctive sign in our Arab world.
