This Monday, September 19, 2022, the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom takes place. Heads of state from around the world gathered in London to attend the funeral mass in Westminster Abbey, in the presence of the British royal family and many members of foreign royal families. Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland died at the age of 96 on 8 September 2022. After being exhibited in Scotland, the nation where she died, her remains flew to England on September 13. She is on display from 14 September at Westminster Hall, the hall of the Palace of Westminster. For almost 5 days, 23 hours a day, the population and tourists were able to greet the coffin after waiting in line for more than 8 hours.
This September 19th, Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin will leave the bier installed in Westminster Hall and join, in a short procession, Westminster Abbey, located just opposite, before the funeral mass.
