Meskerem Mees is awarded for the first time: “Nice to look at that figurine, but I fear that it will mainly gather dust”
Adele, Dua Lipa and now also Meskerem Mees. The Ghent singer-songwriter won the Grand Jury Prize at the Music Moves Europe Awards, and can thus quietly call himself a world star in the making. A person would start floating for less, but Meskerem remains surprisingly modest. “Of course it’s an honor, but first and foremost I’m just a girl with a guitar.”
