Folk legend Sashka Vaseva sang again after the brain surgery she underwent a month ago. Her husband Hristo Bakardzhiev told the Telegraph that before she was discharged from the German clinic in Munich, she congratulated her doctors on the a cappella performance of Ave Maria by Schubert.
She especially thanked Prof. Dr. Jörg Christian Tonn, the head of the neurosurgery clinic, who removed the tumor. “Yesterday I was with her and when I went, you could hear her singing downstairs. They had opened the door for others to hear her better. Ave Maria sang to them and her sister was in tears. She said that when she sang sadder songs everyone they are crying “, says Bakardzhiev.
Sashka was already feeling much better and after being discharged from the hospital she was placed in a rehabilitation center.
