It is a high place in Agen, to which we are attached. Ducourneau offers us a rich cultural season each year, and does not skimp on the means.
But the municipal theater team also makes the venues available for the Foliesvocales shows, and this has been going on since the first edition, in 2017… Music, theater and humor will parade on the boards of the sloping stage. We’ll start with “Voice Messengers”, a curiosity inspired by American big bands… without the brass! They are replaced by the six singers themselves. By succeeding each other on stage, they offer a free, joyful and offbeat interpretation of a wide repertoire.
“Against Time” is also eagerly awaited. Nice success at the Festival d’Avignon in 2021, it has its place in Ducourneau. A real journey through time, it takes us back to the world of French operettas of the 1930s, then the arrival of American musicals and jazz.
The unmissable Chanson Plus Bifluorée trio will conclude the edition with “Au revoir et merci!”, the end of a four-decade career of humorous sketches and songs where the news takes a less gloomy turn.
