Foldable iPad Coming in 2026, Along with Foldable iPhone

2026 is set to be the year of foldable products at Apple, with both the iPhone and iPad according to the words from analyst Jeff Pu. This would represent a delay for the tablet, knowing that the first rumors had spoken of an arrival in 2025.

In May, Jeff Pu said Apple’s first foldable devices would reach mass production in 2025 and 2026, following growing evidence of foldables in the manufacturer’s supply chain. At the time, the analyst said Apple would likely release a large-screen foldable iPad or MacBook during that time frame before launching a higher-volume foldable iPhone in late 2026.

He previously said that a foldable Apple product would have a 20.3-inch screen when unfolded, to the point that it could be a foldable MacBook. But we’ll have to wait at least two years to see what’s new from Apple. Indeed, foldable iPhones and iPads won’t arrive until the second half of 2026. The delay is reportedly due to screen durability issues.

Certainly, a lot can change between now and 2026, but if these timelines hold true, Apple will be offering radical changes to its product lineup in a short period of time.
