FOK.nl / News / StukTV App stuk

Due to a bug in the app “The Hunting Season” from StukTV, personal data of the app’s players may have become available to third parties. After finding this, the app was taken offline. An investigation was started immediately to find out which data may have been accessible and whether that data was actually viewed. Talpa Network has reported this incident to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Data that may have been accessible includes the first and last name entered by the player, links to the external public profile photo, username of the social media profile and the last GPS location of the players in the game.

The players of the app ‘The Hunting Season’ are individually informed about the incident as quickly as possible. Because for technical reasons it may take several days for all players to receive individual notifications, Talpa Network has also decided to send out a press release.

Players of the app do not need to take any action at this time to protect their data, because the app is offline. Talpa Network is working hard to publish an update of the app so that users can continue to play in the new version of the app.
