KEDIRI, KOMPAS.TV – The government of Kediri is currently intensifying the movement to eradicate mosquito nests and fumigation, or fogging. This was done because the number of dengue fever cases in Kediri City continued to increase until the beginning of this year.
This officer from the Health Service, Monday (10/01/2022) morning carried out fumigation in the Kediri City Islamic Boarding School. One by one the residents’ houses were fumigated by officers.
The fumigation was carried out because in the area, there were 2 residents who were infected with dengue fever. From the data from the Health Office of the City of Kediri, the number of dengue cases continues to increase.
In fact, during the last year until this January alone, more than 121 residents have been attacked by dengue. This condition has made the City Government of Kediri aggressively carry out activities to eradicate mosquito nests and fumigation in a number of locations.
In addition to smoking, the City Government of Kediri also asked residents to always adopt a healthy lifestyle. Especially to always routinely eradicate mosquito nests by applying 3 M, namely closing, draining and cleaning water containers regularly.
