Palangkaraya, InfoPublik – The Health Office of the City of Palangka Raya through the Marina Permai Health Center of the City of Palangka Raya carried out Fogging for the prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) on Jalan Temanggung, City of Palangka Raya, Wednesday (17/5/2023).
This fogging activity was directly monitored by the Langkai Village Head, Sri Wanti, and the Head of the Marina Permai Health Center, Palangka Raya City.
Langkai Urban Village Head, Sri Wanti said that the fogging activity was carried out at the request of residents where last April, there were residents who tested positive for DHF in the Jalan Temanggung Kumpang neighborhood who had been treated at the hospital.
“There were reports regarding residents who were positive for DHF, Langkai Village together with the Marina Permai Public Health Center facilitated fogging in residential areas for residents with DHF,” he said.
Sri Wanti said, he appealed to residents to always keep their environment clean, and clean drainage channels and pay attention to stagnant water which can become a breeding ground for DHF mosquitoes.
“As a form of education to residents and preventing dengue fever from returning, we have asked residents to pay attention to their surroundings by maintaining cleanliness, especially clogged drainage channels and standing water when it rains because they can potentially become breeding grounds for DHF mosquitoes,” he concluded.
