Around 6.30 pm in San Severo, in via Tommaso Forte at the corner of via Fortore, Salvatore Lombardi, a 30-year-old convict from the place, was riddled with shots while he was in a public garden near a well-known bar in the area. The man was lying on the ground in a pool of blood. When one of the most assassins reached him by exploding a few gunshots directly on his face, Lombardi was alone.
In the moments following the deadly ambush, relatives and friends of the murdered thirty-year-old, as well as dozens and dozens of citizens, poured into the scene of the murder. The victim was known to law enforcement, had a history of drug and property crime (video images of the ambush site).
Investigate the police. On site the forensic investigation for the reliefs of the murder, the first of 2022 in the city of bell towers, the third in the last nine months and the second of the new year in the province of Foggia after the assassination of Roberto Russo, killed in the capital Dauno in via Silvio Pellico last March 26th.
