“Foggia Mafia Boss Savagely Murdered in Ambush Shooting”

FOGGIA – Shooting is back in Foggia but this time the killers hit a big target, Savior Prince59 years old, one of the historic bosses of the Foggia mafia clans, at the helm of the homonymous clan with Trisciuoglio (another boss who died of natural causes a few months ago).

The historic mafia boss was killed in Viale Kennedy on the outskirts of the city by two rifle shots. Shooting a man who got out of a car, then escaped at high speed and found completely burned in the night to erase all traces.

The investigations continue unabated. Five examinations of the stub and as many searches have already been carried out to shed light on the murder of the historic boss of the Foggia Company, between the end of the 90s and the early 2000s, considered a leading exponent of the Trisciuoglio-Principe-Tolonese clan. Searches and stubs carried out – let the investigator know – of offenders belonging to rival criminal batteries: that of the Morettis and that of the Francavillas.

According to the reconstruction of the investigators, Prencipe had just left his home in viale Kennedy, where he lived with his mother; he was stopped in the car when a hitman reached him on foot and fired two shots: the first smashed against the windshield hitting him in the chest, the second instead in the face. Immediately afterwards the killer left in a car driven by an accomplice a Fiat Grande Punto set on fire and found yesterday evening in via Sprecacenere, on the outskirts of Foggia.

The testimonies collected by the investigators on the site of the ambush, including among the residents, have made it possible to reconstruct the dynamics of the fact. Salvatore Prencipe miraculously escaped an ambush carried out on the afternoon of 21 September 1999. The man was standing in front of a bar in Via Fania when two killers on a motorcycle fired wildly at Prencipe and two other mafiosi from Foggia. The three were unharmed while a stray bullet hit and killed Matteo Di Candia, 62, a pensioner who was in the club at the time to celebrate his name day.
