A thick fog covered the streets China. This phenomenon also triggers a fatal accident involving hundreds of cars.
Reported AFP extension, Wednesday (12/28/2022), hundreds of cars were involved in a rear-end collision on a toll road in Zhengzhou, China. The crash reportedly resulted in the death of one person.
The accident was said to have occurred due to poor visibility due to fog near Zhengzhou city in Henan province. It is estimated that at least 200 vehicles were involved in the accident.

Aerial photos show just how chaotic the pile-up was. The viral video also shows cars being crushed in the crash.
“On Wednesday morning, fog suddenly appeared on the Yellow River Bridge in Zhengzhou, which caused a traffic accident involving several vehicles colliding,” Zhengzhou authorities said as quoted by CCTV.

Urgent relief efforts were immediately carried out by local authorities. The crash site was also immediately cleared so that traffic returned to normal.
Traffic accidents are common in China. One of the triggers is the lack of strict security controls.
In September, 27 passengers died when a bus taking them to a quarantine facility in southwestern Guizhou province overturned on a highway.
