Dozens of flights have been canceled at Schiphol Airport due to the dense fog. This concerns 38 departing flights that had to remain on the ground and 33 that could not land due to limited visibility.
A spokesperson for the airport says that travelers are still experiencing problems. “Between 4:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. there was disruption due to the fog. Airplanes were less able to land and take off in quick succession. Flights are now running well again according to schedule, but we still have some catching up to do.”
The transfer desks are busy with people trying to rebook their flights.
