The good financial results of Focus Home Interactive allow the French group to further strengthen, and to make its very first acquisition with the Deck13 studio.
Focus Home Interactive has thus announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares making up the capital of the company incorporated under German law Deck13 Interactive GmbH (“Deck13”) which has a team of 60 people and 20 games created in almost as many years.
Focus Home Interactive and Deck13 know each other well since they had been able to work together on The Surge 2, a game released at the end of 2019 for a turnover generated of 5.5 million euros. Suffice to say that it smells good enough for The Surge 3.
Jürgen Goeldner, Chairman of the Executive Board, says: “We are very pleased to welcome the Deck13 teams and look forward to working together to achieve our ambitious goals. This acquisition marks an important step in our history of growth and will strengthen our economic model. This acquisition will be financed by drawing part of the new bank financing of 46 million euros which will also fuel our other future developments. ”
