Recently, Fntastic studio strongly announced its “rebirth” after a deafening failure The day beforewhich only lasted a few days. Then the developers solemnly promised to build their operation on the principles of honesty and openness. But, apparently, old habits have taken over – the studio trying again find those who are willing to work for her for free.
This time, Fntastic decided to try their luck in the “hide and seek with items” genre, announcing a multiplayer project under the simple name Items. This game was announced right after a failed Kickstarter campaign, where the studio managed to raise only 3 thousand dollars out of the 20 thousand announced. And now it seems that developers have found a way to create content without additional costs.
In their official Discord channel, the studio announced the launch of a “creative competition”. Enthusiasts are asked to develop a map for the game “in any suitable way” – be it in 2D, 3D, or even hand-drawn. At the same time, authors are strongly advised not to forget a detailed description of the subject, form and balance characteristics. Simply put, do the full-time job of a game designer.
But with the prize, everything is much smaller. Most of the entries will, of course, end up in the trash, and the lucky winner is guaranteed to be named “somewhere” and receive a copy of Items. True, this assumes that the game will ever see the light of day – given Fntastic’s history, there are doubts about this.
