The Malaga technology company FMIT Group go to the next level. At the beginning of 2020, this company founded in 1998 had around twenty workers… and now there are around 80 people. Initially they were dedicated exclusively to technology consulting, but six years ago they opted for creating your own solutions softwaree for other companies. The bet has ended up paying off, and this Thursday afternoon they inaugurate a new office floor in their brand new headquarters at number 32 Alameda Principal “to be able to accommodate all the volume of business that is arriving.”
The CEO of FMIT Technologies explains it in an interview with EL ESPAÑOL from Málaga, Immaculate Garcia. The company she leads is one of the three companies that are now under the umbrella of the business group, all of them led by women: Launch4, with a focus more focused on R&D; FMIT Consulting, specialized in human resources, office management or marketing; and the line led by García, specialized in offering solutions for all engineering and data science needs.
“We are a technology group whose mission is to develop and implement solutions that introduce innovation and add value to our clients. We solve some of the most relevant problems they have,” explains the CEO of FMIT Technologies, who ensures that those software solutions that create help their clients “to combine the old world with the new“.
Taken to day-to-day life, they use innovations such as artificial intelligence or Blockchain to get the most out of company data. “There are many innovative technologies that are not always available to customers so, for example, not to lose the value of historical information. We give them something more robust and reliable that helps them make decisions“says García.
“For critical and business decisions you need to have information in real time, accurate and at your fingertips. They are data that can be projected into the future. What we do is help and provide that environment in which they can make informed decisions,” he argues.
This approach of giving them “turnkey” solutions for their data has led them to achieve 90% of clients come from abroad, from “solid companies with millions of euros to others of more medium size.” Among the sectors in which they are positioned, the automotive, space, infrastructure and sustainability sectors stand out, lists Inmaculada García.
They have developed this entire trajectory since its birth from the center of Malaga. “Due to the type of clients we aspire to, it is better to be in the Center. It is one of the attractions of working with us: bringing them to the Center and showing them what Málaga is like and what it has to offer. one of our winning tricks“justifies García.
The capital of the Costa del Sol is its largest headquarters and, in fact, the majority of its talent is located in Andalusia; but they also have other locations such as a high-performance innovation center in Tenerife. “We obviously consider ourselves a company from Malaga and, although our clients are mostly from abroad, We have a great commitment to technological Malaga“, defends the CEO of FMIT Technologies, who exemplifies this commitment in the agreements they have with the city’s university, the UMA.
“FMIT has always been committed to Malaga. The technological boom in Malaga is fantastic because there are many more business opportunities and collaboration with other companies.
