The final of the 2024 Bavarian Individual Championship was hard to beat in terms of excitement. After FM Lars Goldbeck overtook the previous leader FM Eduard Miller in the semifinals and four protagonists were within half a point of each other, the course of the game meant that they all drew with each other. In the end, it couldn’t have been closer.

By a whisker of half a Buchholz point, FM Eduard Miller from SC Erlangen the Bavarian championship title in 2024. It is already the fourth after 2015, 2017 and 2021.

Accordingly, FM Lars Goldbeck (SC Bavaria Regensburg) had to settle for the runner-up title with the same number of points, after having already narrowly missed out on first place last year.

Half a point behind Tobias Ammon from SV Altensittenbach, who finished undefeated and took the last place on the podium. The other prize money went to Lennart Uphoff (SC Bavaria Regensburg), U14 young talent Tugrul Turel (SF Munich), FM Robin Schlichtmann (SC Garching) and FM Lukas Schulz (SC Erlangen).
