On Monday morning Octavio Ocaña, known for playing “Benito Rivers” in the series Neighbors, was buried in Villahermosa, Tabasco.

The remains of the young actor were placed in the Recinto Memorial Pantheon, which is located in the city of Villahermosa.

Octavio died last Friday from an accidental shot with a weapon he was holding, according to authorities.

The ceremony was attended by friends, family and her partner Nereida Godínez; and it was held privately.

According to local media, Ocaña’s body arrived in Villahermosa on Sunday night, where hundreds of people gathered to receive it amid applause.

How did Octavio Ocaña die?

It was on October 30 when the 22-year-old interpreter died in the State of Mexico after a police chase.

Octavio Ocaña was driving on the Chamapa-Lechería highway, in the municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli, when the incident that claimed his life occurred.

This Sunday, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (Edomex) concluded in its expert opinion that the actor accidentally shot himself in the head because he was driving drunk.

According to the toxicological report prepared by the Mexican Prosecutor’s Office, Octavio Ocaña had drunk alcohol and consumed marijuana on the day of his death.

Octavio Ocaña was born on November 7, 1998 and his first job in show business was with Chabelo, where he worked as an extra in the “chiquillos y chiquillas” section.
