Flu Vaccination Campaign: Recommendations, Eligibility, and Vaccination Centers

he Ministry of Health recommended that the population join the flu vaccination campaign with the 2024 strain, while recalling that this vaccine “can be applied in conjunction with the vaccine against COVID-19 and with the others on the National Calendar.”

The flu vaccine is intended for all boys and girls from 6 to 24 months and over 65 years of age. Also to people at risk of suffering serious complications between 2 and 64 years of age, who must present an order or documentation proving their condition.

In addition, pregnant women, even if they received a dose in 2022, it is important that they receive a new one this year to care for their baby during the first six months of life. If they did not receive it during pregnancy, they should receive a dose within 10 days after delivery.

Vaccination places in Ushuaia are:

*Modular Hospital: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

*CAPS N°1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In Río Grande you can go to the Regional Hospital from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

*In CAPS No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7: Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

*CAPS N° 6: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

* Post Chacra XI: 8:30 to 13:30.

*Municipal Health Centers No. 1, 2, 3: from 8:00 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Meanwhile, in Tolhuin, vaccination is given at the Assistance Center from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
