Public Health reminds who should receive the flu vaccine and boosters for Covid-19

People who are within the risk group must have a dose of flu and as for Covid-19, those who have received their last dose with an interval of 6 months or more, must attend vaccinations, regardless of the number of applications they have.

The Ministry of Public Health of the Province, through the Immunization Directorate, reminds who should receive the flu vaccine and boosters for Covid-19. In addition, we insist on completing the vaccination schedule: vaccines are free and available at health centers with vaccination centers.

In the capital, flu doses are available in the Primary Health Care Centers (Caps), in the Primary Health Care Rooms (Saps) of the Municipality of Corrientes and in the vaccination centers of the Ángela I. de hospitals. Plain and pediatric John Paul II. Meanwhile, in the interior the doses are available in the different vaccination centers.

Who should receive the flu vaccine?

Health personnel, pregnant women: at any time during pregnancy, postpartum women: up to 10 days after delivery, if they did not receive it during pregnancy, children from 6 to 24 months: they must receive two doses separated by at least 4 weeks, children and adults from 2 years to 64 years with diseases: respiratory, cardiac, congenital or acquired immunodeficiencies, oncohematological patients and transplant recipients; people with obesity, diabetics, and people with chronic kidney failure on dialysis: they must present a medical order proving said condition and people over 65 years of age.

Who should receive a booster vaccine against Covid-19?

Those who have received their last dose with an interval of 6 months or more must attend the vaccinations, regardless of the number of applications they have.

From Wednesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the AI ​​hospital in Llano (on Dominican Republic street).

Attend with ID, vaccination card and medical indication if applicable (from 2 to 64 years with risk pathologies).
