At the spot in De Pijp where a 64-year-old man was killed on Friday evening is a large pile of flowers. The man was one of the victims of a series of stabbings. The other four victims survived.

The man died on the spot on Friday evening in the Tweede Van der Helststraat. The five stabbings took place around 11.30 p.m. in the area around Ferdinand Bolstraat at five different locations. Shortly after the stabbing incidents, the police were able to arrest a 29-year-old man from Amstelveen.
