Florist Heemstede in tears: ‘I got through the eye of a needle’ | Inland

HEEMSTEDE – A motorist drove his car into the Heemsteed flower shop La Bougain-Villa at the end of the morning on Friday. The 70-year-old Haarlemmer stood with his Ford Fiesta in the parking lot on the Raadhuisstraat. He lost control of the steering wheel when starting off, probably because he switched the brake and accelerator pedals. The man first grazed a car containing an elderly couple and then rammed the corner of the flower shop.
