Florin Cîțu, the president of PNL, strongly opposed on Wednesday evening, in the meeting with the president Klaus Iohannis and the liberal leaders, a reconciliation with USR, liberal sources declared for G4Media.ro.
At the meeting, the Liberals and President Iohannis reviewed the solutions for the creation of a governmental majority, and Cîțu categorically rejected a new coalition with USR, according to the quoted sources.
Cîțu’s position paved the way for negotiations with PSD for the liberals to ensure the parliamentary support of Marcel Ciolacu’s party for a PNL-UDMR minority government led by Nicolae Ciucă. Until the time of publishing the article, PSD did not make public its position with which they will go to the consultations with President Iohannis.
