Prime Minister Florin Cîțu claims that the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has been mitigated and all losses have been recovered. Cîțu specified that Romania is in a very good economic situation and we have a low degree of indebtedness, and the economic growth will be between 6% and 9%.
“We managed to recover everything we lost in the pandemic. We have economic growth, we are among the only countries in Europe, because the rest of the countries have experienced an economic decline, we have grown at the same time.
I say that what was worse is over, but it is true that there will be adjustments. Almost all international institutions have received their forecast for Romania and we will have an economic growth between 6% and 9%.
There are a lot of unused resources in the economy and that allows you to move on. Usually, in times like this there is an economic boom, if we look at the previous crises.
In terms of indebtedness, we are well below other EU countries. We have a low degree of indebtedness and this allows us to borrow at very low interest rates “, said Florin Cîțu, on Radio Guerilla.
