According to Volusia County police reports, the 25-year-old woman, identified as Tesia, left her four dogs – two were puppies – inside her vehicle with the doors, windows closed and no air conditioning.
Tesia said that she left them there to go eat with her boyfriend at the restaurant -it took more than an hour-.
People circulating in the area notified 911 and the authorities arrived at the site to verify the death of the animals.

Given the situation, the New Smyrna police arrested the owner on four counts of animal cruelty, she was taken to the county jail Volusia and a bail of 10 thousand dollars (195 thousand 811 pesos) was also set.
