It was almost the most wonderful time of the year at Dolphin Mall in Sweetwater, as the first few shoppers got excited about the holiday spirit on Wednesday.
Thanksgiving Eve also brought the first magical snowfall of the season to the mall, an annual tradition for shoppers.
“I think it’s very good that they are doing this because it never really snows in Miami,” said Monica Martinez.
“When it snows, that means it’s Christmas,” said Angelina Hernández.
“Basically we have music, kids with their wands and we just enjoy a magical night,” said Madelyn Bello Calvar, spokesperson for Dolphin Mall. “It’s every night at 7 o’clock and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 am. 9 o’clock ».
“I love Christmas,” said a boy.
And what says “it’s almost Christmas” more than the Black Friday deals?
The best discounts of the year are here, and buyers don’t wait until Friday to get them.
“I try to advise people to buy early,” said Lilian Ledesma.
It seems that a lot of people agreed with that advice. There was heavy traffic Wednesday at Dolphin Mall and other shopping malls in South Florida.
If you haven’t started your holiday shopping, experts say now is the time to define a game plan.
“I bought an iPad for my son,” said one of the first buyers.
Dolphin Mall is one of several South Florida shopping malls that are completely turning back Thanksgiving shopping.
The Sawgrass and Dadeland Mall reopened at 6 a.m. Friday.
