Florida State Police detained a man who stole a live alligator from the grounds of a golf club in Daytona Beach and tried to throw it on the roof of a building. This was reported by the publication Washington Examiner.
It is noted that 32-year-old William Hodge infiltrated the golf course Congo River, pulled the alligator out of the aviary and then dragged it to the local bar.
As indicated by the police, Hodge threw the animal, and after it hit the canopy of the establishment, “again took it by the tail, threw it over his shoulder, threw it on the ground and stepped twice.”
When the officer asked why he threw the alligator into the air, William replied that he was “trying to teach him a lesson.”
Hodge was charged with animal cruelty and burglary. The animal was returned to the enclosure of the golf club.
