The 2023 Overwatch League season is now over. After a tumultuous year that has many asking what the future holds for the league, this past weekend the best teams from around the world came together to compete for the lion’s share of the $1.85 million prize pool and The right to be called a champion.
After a busy few days, that honor already belongs to Florida Mayhem, who was crowned champion of the 2023 season after defeating the Houston Outlaws in the Grand Finals and is in danger of becoming the last OWL champion if the league does not return next year.
As for the rankings of other teams, Hangzhou Spark is ranked third, Boston Uprising is ranked fourth, London Spitfire and 2022 champion Dallas Fuel are ranked fifth and sixth, and high-seeded Atlanta Reign and East Division Seoul Infernal will be seventh and eighth. Rankings of names are rounded.
Now that the season is over, we’re waiting for firm word from Blizzard on what the 2024 season will offer, should it eventually return.
