A bad mix between pizza and Pokémon Cards led to the death of a Florida man who had the brilliant idea to rob a local Target. He and another man arrived at the scene in a black Audi with unreadable license plates, wearing masks, and left the premises having stolen a pizza and “multiple” Pokémon TCG packs. Store staff immediately called the police.
There is no information to suggest that the men were armed, but the Orlando Sentinel reports that one of the two suspects was shot dead and two youths were injured, as the police failed to stop the vehicle in time. On the other hand, Fox35 claims that the two men are charged with robberies and that a third person was accidentally injured by the police.
Although the police shot two people, probably three, and killed a fourth, all of them without weapons, the County Sheriff, Marcos Lopez, has spoken to different media to clarify that “I believe that my staff is justified in all its Actions.”
