The Florida Film Critics’ Circle has named Franz Rogowski the best actor of the year for his role in Ira Sachs’ “Passages” – like the film critics in New York before him. The Best Actress award went to Lily Gladstone for her role in “Killers of the Flower Moon”; Gladstone also received the young talent award and the entire ensemble of Martin Scorsese’s film was also honored by the film critics in Florida. The best supporting actor awards went to Rachel McAdams (“Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret”) and Charles Melton (“May December”), and best director went to Todd Haynes (“May December”) best original screenplay Celine Song (“Past Lives”), best adapted screenplay Tony McNamara (“Poor Things”), best cinematography Dan Laustsen (“John Wick: Chapter 4”).
