He played with Waregem, KV Mechelen, Germinal Ekeren, Eendracht Aalst and Anderlecht … But the younger readers may not remember him. However, Florian Urban (51) was the original ‘bad boy’ of the Belgian league.
His transfer to Anderlecht in 1997 was perhaps the most bizarre thing that happened in that decade. After all, Urban was known for his rock-hard way of playing and his love of beer. Nevertheless, he still had a very decent career in our country, because technically he was one of the better.
What is he currently doing? He is a taxi driver in Budapest, Hungary, his home country. There he reminisced about his Belgian adventures.
