I cannot highlight anyone here because everyone really participates with full enthusiasm. From the children’s ballet to the handball players, from the miners to the Rennsteig club, from the marionette theater to the volleyball players, etc. Even at the first rehearsals, everyone was well-versed in the text and fully motivated. When all of a sudden the tough guys from American football sing a Christmas carol with Andy Borg and all of us, you can see how much music connects and overcomes boundaries. I would like to thank all those involved from the bottom of my heart for this “togetherness”, for this symbol. Thank you for this “we-feeling” during this time!
The show is about popular Christmas carols. What are your personal favorites this year?
There are so many beautiful Christmas carols, but when “Silent Night” sounds on Christmas Eve, the world stands still for a moment.
The hits of the year are still pending in the MDR, but before that they will set sail again as the captain of the “dream ship”. In other words, despite everything, you have hardly been bored this year. Will Florian Silbereisen take it easy until the festival?
We approached the difficult challenges with a lot of effort and even more creativity and were able to produce very different shows. I was allowed to shoot for “Traumschiff” and for “DSDS”. I am really very grateful for that.
As always, I will approach the Christmas season calmly, spend time with the family and recharge my batteries, as we have big plans for the new year: The new “DSDS” starts in January with a completely new jury and many great candidates! I’m looking forward to great shows in the MDR and that on our tour with Matthias Reim, Thomas Anders, Ross Antony Marianne Rosenberg, Jürgen Drews, Oli.P and many more: “The great Schlagerfest.XXL”
What do you wish the readers of our newspaper for Advent and the coming year?
I just want to wish all readers good health! I wish all of us: Understanding for one another, but finally more solidarity!
