Despite his fight against lung cancer, 2023 was a busy year for Florent Pagny.
He, in fact, embarked on a sold-out summer tour, then published his autobiography entitled “Pagny by Florent“, which was a success among booksellers with 200,000 copies sold.
Shortly after, he released the album “2bis“, where he revisits his greatest successes as a duo with artists and friends such as Jenifer, Soprano, Patrick Bruel and Christophe Maé. This album was also a commercial success, ranking number one in sales with 171,000 copies sold in France .
Despite a media break announced until 2026, the singer remains active. He is reportedly preparing a new opus and will be at the heart of a new documentary entitled “Florent tells Pagny“. On an idea of Laurent Delahoussethis film will be broadcast on France 3 on March 15 at 9:05 p.m. It will immerse viewers in his career thanks to never-before-seen archives and interviews with Emmanuelle Cosso, long-time friend of Florent Pagny. This documentary also promises to shed light on how the child from the working class managed to forge an extraordinary destiny thanks to his powerful voice, while tackling the difficult chapter of his illness.
Florent Pagny had already been the subject of a documentary followed by 4 million viewers in early 2023 on TF1.
It remains to be seen whether success will still be there on the group’s 3rd channel France Televisions.
