Florent Pagny will not make the same mistake twice. In January 2022, the artist revealed that he had a cancerous lung tumor. A few weeks later, after six chemotherapy and a month and a half of rays, the ex-judge of “The Voice” had found his wife, Azucena, in Patagonia.
But here, at the beginning of last month, the interpreter of Know how to love confided in the show seven to eight, on TF1, the poor results of his last health examinations, after a period of remission. A relapse visibly due to his choice not to continue his immunotherapy treatment.
“It had worked really well. It’s just that I was a little stupid for four, five months and there could have been this relapse “he confided in 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Gros regret
The singer therefore returned to France to undergo emergency examinations. “We were talking about a biopsy but there wasn’t even a biopsy because in the end I came home very quickly. He explained that the cancer “had evolved so much that we knew it was the same origins as the other.”
The artist has learned from his past mistakes and will pay more attention to his health in the future. “Anyway, I will always be in control and with this immunotherapy that I will not let go of now. I will not repeat the same stupidity twice, ”he commented.
Back on stage
Florent Pagny has not abandoned his desires for the stage. It will be on the road this summer, as planned. “There are times when the disease can take over but other times when I still have to be able to go on living and doing what I have to do. I will continue a little more chemo and immuno but at the same time I will be able to do my festival concerts, which is planned for June/July”, he specified.
And to conclude on a note of hope: “These are my projects, I have to live them, otherwise if we start to bury ourselves, to get into anxiety or to lock ourselves up with this disease, it’s not just not possible”.
