In a post on Instagram Sunday, she writes that she has been operated on, and that it “saved her life”.
The band announced last week that two planned concerts at the Zurich Openair and Rock en Seine festivals at the end of August had to be cancelled.
– I am so sorry that I had to cancel the last concerts. My feet are fine, I had to have emergency surgery for reasons I don’t feel strong enough to tell about yet, but it saved my life, she writes, without giving more details.
Last November, the band had to cancel their UK tour because Welch broke his foot on stage, writes the Guardian.
In the Instagram post on Sunday, Welch says that she hopes to be back on stage for the concerts in Lisbon and Malaga, which will take place at the beginning of September.
The British indie rock group Florence + the Machines has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards and is known for songs such as “Shake it Out”, “You’ve Got the Love” and “Dog Days Are Over”.
