Many personalities representing the civil and military authorities of the Department as well as the inhabitants took part in the National Day of homage to the harkis. A ceremony that also resonated with the recent promise of the President of the Republic of a law of reparation. Thus, representatives of the Departmental Union of Repatriated Harkis (UDHR) expressed their satisfaction at being finally recognized and heard after years of silence. “There remains the wish for reparation for the children of harkis, many of whom have provided for their parents’ needs. ”
