Flood occurred in Solo, Central Java. Flood due to the overflow of the Premulung River in the Laweyan Sub-District, it submerged 15 sub-districts.
“Currently, there are 15 sub-districts in the city that have been affected by the floods Solo. There are additional ones in Laweyan District, one of which is in Pajang Village where the water is overflowing,” said Head of BPBD Solo City, Nico Agus Putranto, as reported by Antara. detikJatengThursday (16/2/2023).
Nico said there were around 10,000 residents affected by this flood. According to him, there were residents who fled to the urban village office and some were at relatives’ homes.
“A total of 10,000 people have been affected. There are residents who are staying at home in the Village Office, all of whom have fled in 15 Villages,” he explained.
He said the water level was around 1-1.5 meters. He guaranteed that logistics had been prepared in several urban villages for flood-affected residents.
“The height is 1 to 1.5 meters in 15 urban villages. There are public kitchens in Jagalan, providing independent logistics in several urban villages,” he said.
