TRIBUNNEWS.COM, TOKYO – The East Asian Rainy Season effect sets a record for heavy rains from July 2 to July 3 on the Pacific side of the Kanto and Tokai regions, Japan.
In Izusan Distrik District Atami City, Prefektur Shizuoka, heavy rains and large-scale landslides occurred, Saturday (3/7/2021) morning.
“Several houses and cars were swept away by the landslide. It seems that debris flow has occurred,” said the source Tribunnews.com at Shizuoka Local Government, Saturday (3/7/2021).
According to Prefektur Shizuoka, the fate of about 20 residents is unknown and may be affected flood big and landslide.
Police Prefektur Shizuoka and firefighters have started rescue operations.

The location is about 1.5 km north of JR Atami Station.
The prefecture set up an emergency disaster response headquarters during the day and asked the Self-Defense Forces (SDF) to send disaster relief troops.
