Jayapura Mayor Benhur Tomi Mano acknowledged that a number of areas experienced landslides and floods.

“Members of the Jayapura City Satpol PP are still doing field checks and I also want to go to the field,” said Benhur, quoted from Antara.
Meanwhile, North Jayapura Police Chief. AKP Yahya Rumra separately admitted that since early Friday at 03.00 WIT there have been reports of a number of areas experiencing landslides and some residents being buried.
Reports revealed that a landslide in the APO area had not been found, but in Nirwana three people were still buried and one was still buried behind Klofkam.
“We are still collecting data, including data on victims,” admitted AKP Yahya Rumra.
