Flooding at Zandleij Landgoed Recreational Park in Cromvoirt: Fire Brigade Pumping Out Water

Recent heavy rainfall has flooded the Zandleij Landgoed recreational park in Cromvoirt. Dozens of houses in the holiday park have water up to the front door. The fire brigade is trying to pump out all the water.

The most nuisance occurs at the back of the park, because that is the lowest point. At the rear, the park borders on meadows where the river De Zandleij also runs.

The water was about a foot high there. Now that the fire brigade is pumping out the water, the water is visibly receding. But the question is what the rain on Christmas Day will bring about. In the meantime, the residents provide the fire brigade with coffee.

People live on the estate who stay there temporarily but also permanently. The park has a total of about 140 homes.
