The first aid payments continue, following the completion of the submission of applications and the relevant cross-checks made by the staff of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.
New first aid payments to those affected by the floods that occurred at the beginning of September in various areas of Thessaly, but also in Central Greece, were made today, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.
Specifically, 1,402,692 euros were credited to citizens’ bank accounts.
In particular, today, 218,409 euros were paid to 68 natural persons to deal with basic living needs and simple repair work and/or the replacement of household goods in areas affected by the September floods. These are payments that resulted from the cross-checks made by the officers of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid in the applications submitted to the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr.
At the same time, payments of 18,283 euros were made to 6 beneficiaries of first aid in exchange for housing assistance. Finally, payments of 1,166,000 euros were made to 160 businesses as first aid against the subsidy of businesses affected by the floods, which include livestock units and agricultural holdings, following the completion of the second round of applications.
Cumulatively, therefore, to date, within the framework of the first and second cycles of first aid, 156,738,373 million euros have been paid to 45,674 households, businesses, agricultural holdings and livestock units that were affected by the unprecedented flood phenomenon that hit Thessaly, but also other areas.
The cross-checking process of the applications submitted, in the context of the first and second cycle, on the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr, continues and new submissions will follow in the coming days.
