The Appenzell judokas were able to receive several medals in Buchs. Janic Signer and Lukas Fuchs from the U9 fought for third and first place respectively. Sophie Balg and Minna Mainberger from the U11 showed solid fights and won the silver medal. Evelyn Koster and Maurus Inauen also fought in the U11, securing the bronze and silver medals. In the U13 category, Yannis Rusch, Sandro Neff and Crispin Ebneter each took a podium place, with Yannis Rusch at the top of the podium, for whom it was his first tournament victory ever. Sandro Neff took second place, Crispin Ebneter made an excellent return from a long injury break in third place. He convinced with a strong grip fight.

Fabienne Manser and Rabea Stöcklin also showed exciting fights, each coming in second place in the U18 category. Serina Koster and Joachim Ebneter used this competition in Buchs as preparation for the Swiss championships. Serina Koster must have gained a lot of self-confidence as she won the tournament. Joachim Ebneter, on the other hand, had to pay the lesson. Due to a small inattention, he was eliminated from the repechage round.
