Flood in Poland. Peak wave in Brzeg Dolny. Alert level exceeded by 3 m

In the morning, at the district office in Wołów, a meeting was held between the authorities of the Brzeg Dolny, Wołów and Wińsko communes and representatives of the services with the deputy head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Wiesław Leśniakiewicz and Dariusz Marczyński from the Department of Population Protection and Crisis Management.

The mayor of Brzeg Dolny reported that the Brzeg Dolny commune is the first to receive the wave from all three communes of the Wołów district. “Residents of the Brzeg Dolny commune and neighboring communes are constantly working on strengthening the top of the embankment, and the resulting seepages are being naturalized on an ongoing basis,” Ireneusz Fura reported.

At night, information appeared that the embankments in Brzeg Dolny had started leaking. The city’s residents were sealing the embankments in several places until late at night – including in the vicinity of the 4th of June Bridge.
