In particular, it is reported that in the city of Kurgan, the authorities are strengthening the banks of the Tobol River with sandbags. Also in the city, a siren is turned on, which calls on the local population to evacuate. And in the village with the name January 9which is on the outskirts of Orenburg, is hastily building a dam to protect it from water.

As UNIAN wrote, due to the flood in Orsk, there was a threat of flooding for the stationary over-the-horizon long-range radar station “Voronezh M”. This radar is designed to track launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles and provide early warning of the threat of a missile attack on the territory of the Russian Federation.
We also told that on the eve of the flood, the dam in Orsk was “repaired” with prayers. Despite the ceremony, in a day and a half, the quarters closest to the hydrotechnical structure disappeared under water.
