IN Kyiv region the elements seethe, because of the flood and the breakthrough of the dam of the local pond, several streets in Ivankovo were flooded with water.
Local residents report that the streets of the village have turned into rivers. Water floods the yards of private houses. The police help the locals.
“In the village of Ivankov, as a result of prolonged rainfall, the dam of the local pond was washed away, the water flowed into the river, which runs near residential streets. Two streets were washed away and flooded with water,” said Andriy Nebytov, head of the Kiev region police.
In the State Emergency Service of the Kyiv region TSN.ua told the details and said whether people would be evacuated.
“Yes, some yards in Ivankovo were flooded. But there is no need to evacuate the residents. The water drains very quickly. Over the past hour, the water level has decreased by 40 centimeters, so everything is in order. There was a dam break, but there is no threat to people. Our units are not involved, because there is no need for it,” Victoria Ruban, speaker of the State Emergency Service in the Kiev region, told TSN.ua.
